MSHSL Clay Target State Tournament
Minnesota's Top Performers Compete!
The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) is the presenting partner for the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League’s State Tournament. The tournament offers the highest achievers in individual and team trap shooting competition the opportunity to compete and be recognized in a state tournament like all other MSHSL-sanctioned sports. With this achievement, the MSHSL was the first and is only state high school athletic association in the country to recognize and support a trap shooting state tournament.
Unlike the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League’s Championship that invites all participants to compete, the State Tournament invites a select number of top performing teams and individuals (boys and girls) to compete in a single-day competition and champions will be awarded coveted Minnesota State High School League trophies.
Registration Fee: $45
Includes 100 targets, MSHSL pin and bag tag, individual and team awards, and earned 25/50/75/100 straight patches.
Daily Schedule
7:30-8:30 AM
Team Competition Check-In
A team coach is required to check-in inside the clubhouse to obtain tournament materials.
8:30 AM
Opening Ceremony
National anthem and opening comments.
9:00 AM
Team Competition Begins
Teams in the first flight will report to their assigned field.
12:15 PM
Team Award Ceremony
Approximate Time. Ceremony begins shortly after the conclusion of competition.
11:00 AM – 12:45 PM
Individual Competition Check-In
Any individuals not participating in the team event need to check-in inside the clubhouse to recieve registration materials.
